Start by removing your side panel inside the driver door. (This may not be necessary, but gives more access to route wiring.) Gently pry near the point to release the tab. Route your controller wiring to the management system.
2. Remove the coin tray. Open it, grab the two side and pinch inwards to release it. This is a tight fit. Once it releases on the top, pull it towards you to release the bottom clip. This gives more access to the fuse panel.
3. Drill a hole in the bottom corner of the coin tray sized to match your wiring. Pass through your wiring. Either corner works.
4. We include a thin adhesive pad that is optional. We suggest installing the mount without it first to see the fitment. We have not had any issues with rattling when these are not used. (MK2 Tiguan does not need these tabs)
5. If possible, pull your wiring through the coin tray now. Then set the lower edge of the mount in place. You will notice that the top edge of the coin tray is warped from the factory. The mount will force this edge straight and the tension will retain the mount.
6. Grab the coin tray, and press in the upper edge of the mount using your thumbs with even pressure. DO NOT PRESS THE CENTER OF THE INNER PANEL.
7. The top edge of the mount will be just below the rim. you will have a small gap at the top edge between the mount and the coin tray brim.
8. Reinstall the coin tray. Press in the bottom clips first, then press the top edge back in. Pull your wiring through the Airlift mount and plug in your controller.
9. If you need to remove the mount, use your finger to pull up through the wiring hole.
